HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT

Historical development of the company

Hauk Company was established by Daniel Hauk on 3 November 1928 and was focused on textile manufacture. On 23 December 1946, the company was taken over by Joseph Hauk, Daniel Hauk’ son, who made reconstruction of the company in 1947. In 1950, he was forced by the communist regime to go out of business and hand all premises to the state.

It was only on 1 January 1991, when the company got back to the Hauk family. The premises were in very poor condition and repair and reconstruction of all premises had to be commenced immediately.

In 1994, the management of the company moved to other business establishment bought by son, Joseph Hauk, from the co-owner of the premises, which used to belong also to his grandfather - František Ressel. The premises underwent extensive reconstruction with their extension. The premises did not take their final shape until 1998.

In 1998, the company bought a hall and, after the hall had been repaired, commenced manufacture of parts for car industry and created dispatch storage space on the area of 400 m2.

In 2000, the company bought other premises - ceramics manufacturing plant that was declared bankrupt in 1997. After the premises had been repaired, manufacture of garden and utility ceramics was launched on three storeys of the premises.

In 2002, Joseph Hauk handed the company management over to Tomáš Řehoř and Petr Hauk, his son-in-law and son respectively.Since 2002, the company shop selling ceramics and household accessories has been opened in Police nad Metují, Tomkova St. 53, where you can find giftware and utility goods at affordable prices.

In 2003, the premises were found as insufficient for manufacture of car parts and dispatch of ceramics, so the company bought from Veba a.s. production premises of the floor space of 10,000 m2 and of the total area of over 13,000 m2. The company repaired these premises and launched production of stamped parts for ŠKODA Auto Mladá Boleslav in 2004.

In 2006, other premises were repaired to serve for storage of material, dispatch of metal parts and dispatch of ceramics. In the same year, the company bought from Veba a.s. other premises of the area of 5,600 m2 to enable further growth of the company in the future.

On 23 June 2006, the company name was changed and the company Hauk a syn, s.r.o. got back its original name HAUK s.r.o..

The production programme focused on stamping and welding was permanently extending and, at the end of 2011, the number of employees reached 230 and became stable.

In 2012, the company kept growing when it commenced construction of other production and storage hall that will ensure further possibilities for growth of the stable HAUK s.r.o. company that thus ranks among the important employers of the region. Investments are being made not only in modernization of the means of manufacture, but also in the new measurement department that helps to ensure sufficient quality of all produced parts.

Quality, reliability, seriousness and customer’s satisfaction are put first in our company. The company thus fulfils a great precondition for its further development as construction of other halls can increase the volume of production that achieved the magic line of a billion CZK.

In 2013, the construction of the new halls was completed. A final building inspection of the halls was performed and the production process was launched. In the same year, other lands near the company were bought for possible extension of the production.

At the present time, the company is engaged mainly in manufacture of welded (department 8) and stamped (department 3) parts for car industry, largely for ŠKODA a.s. To a lesser extent, it produces stamped parts for other car companies. Department 6 - interior parts - which focuses on production of raised floors, carpets, etc. is developing in a very dynamic way.

The last department is Department 1- manufacture of household accessories - which have been manufactured by the company since the beginning of 1991. This concerns, above all, folding doors and walls of various designs, including custom manufacturing.

The company has the certificates ISO 9001, VDA 6.1 and ISO 14001. It specializes mainly in car industry and has successful audits from customer companies, especially from ŠKODA Auto a.s. - where the company is presented as “A”- category supplier.
